Senior pupils along with their teacher Mrs. O’Meara compiled the following poem which was read during the last day ceremony before the summer break.  The occasion was to honour the work and commitment of Ms. Murray who has moved to pastures new.  We wish her well for the future.

We wish to thank you in rhyme
And now I will ask my partners in crime
to come up here to the top
I know it will be hard to stop.

Blackboards now whiteboards
Chalk – promethean pens
Tests now assessments
Marks out of ten is now sten.

Pancakes we flipped in the hall
Parents helping when we give them a call

European Day brought us to many places
All enjoyed, happy faces.

Grandparents’ Day, laughter and fun,
They know we’re the number one.

Open Day many coming to see,
What we do from nine to three.

Flags we raised
For that we were praised.

Wonderful days of celebration,
It truly is a jubilation.

Christmas Eve Nativity Play
Hours spent learning what to say.

Modern dance, hip hop
We learned how to move,
We learned how to bop.

Keyboard, drama, Tin whistle and song,
Your love for them brought us along.

Computers, laptops, I.C.T.
Always busy as a bee.

Thank you sincerely for all that has been
Without you our school wouldn’t be so green.

Your first day in school with Patrick, Caoimhe and Scott,
You now leave together, we will miss you a lot.

Mile buiochas for all you have done,
And we will remember all the fun,
‘Cos in this school hail rain or shine,
We always have a good time.
